Painting is what I was always going to do.
I grew up in South Africa surrounded by color and a kind of restless light. Those early impressions never left me.
I came to painting without formal training, through years of looking and absorbing, until I gave myself permission to do what I love. My work grows out of every place I have called home. South Africa, Austria, and now Florida.
I build each painting in layers, letting one mark lead to the next, until the surface feels alive. These paintings are rooted in my own journey, but they are meant as an invitation.
